Product Description:
You can eliminate a mouse infestation problem and get rid of rats with this trap. It is extremely easy to use. The metal trip pan is so sensitive that when even a small mouse steps on it the door will drop and trap the mouse. The trap measures 12" long by 7" wide by 5" high. The bait is placed at the back of the trap behind the pan. When the animal steps on the pan attempting to reach the bait, the door closes and a steel bar slides down to lock it. The trap is easily opened to release the rodent. Use this trap for mice, chipmunks, rats, and squirrels.

(More customer reviews)When I got these traps (I ordered 2), I was immediately impressed.They are sturdily made of a powder-coated metal, probably steel, and have a very nice trip mechanism.I bought them solely for chipmunks, and immediately baited them and set them out.For several days, I found the trap tripped, but empty.I thought the trigger mechanism was faulty, but the next day found a chippie inside.An hour later I got ready to take the trap out for relocation, and it was empty.Hmmm.I measured the door, and it is about 4" wide, but the opening is 4 ?", and the door slides freely from side to side.That ?" opening is plenty of room for chippies or rats to walk right out.So, with this trap, you give your chippies a nice meal, then they laugh and wave as they stroll out to cause other mischief.

If you are trying for squirrels or small rabbits, this should work fine.But for chippies, the poor door design makes it worse than useless.

Woodlink BAF3GR Post Mount Squirrel Baffle Review

(More customer reviews)The squirrel baffle has a split that is supposed to allow it to be wrapped around the 4x4 post, but it is very difficult to get it onto the post.When I did get it around the post, one of the four mounting tabs broke off when I was tightening the mounting screws.There was very little weld holding the tab, it looks like it was mostly held in place by paint.I do not recommend this squirrel baffle.
