A couple of weeks ago I bought one from another company.The fabric was much sturdier than this toy has. My dogs loved it so I decided to buy a couple more.For variety, I decided to order this toy thinking it would be just as sturdy. Within half an hour, my dog had bits of the fabric scattered all over the floor. She is having fun with it so I gave it three stars.By tomorrow morning, though, I think the body will have to be thrown away.

Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball Review

(More customer reviews)This treat ball is probably not for every dog, but our 8 month old Shiba Inu puppy absolutely adores it and so do we. Our trainer recommended that we use a treat ball as a way to challenge our puppy and focus his energy on something "productive" (for him, at least). This does the trick better than any other similar product. It is very durable yet (unlike a Buster Cube) soft enough that nothing gets damaged as it rolls into walls, chairs and the like.We use it for half of his kibble at each meal. After about 4 weeks of daily use, our ball is starting to show signs of wear but we have gotten far more use out of this than any other "toy" we've purchased.

Our puppy is a high energy, very food motivated, tough-chewing, smart little guy who can get treats out of his Kong and open the child gate in under 5 minutes. But while this treat ball requires patience, our normally "A.D.D." puppy will persistently push this ball around the kitchen until he gets every last piece of kibble out. That can take 20-30 minutes.The ball does not make a good "chew toy" for a tough chewer (like our dog, who can chew off the top of a red Kong), however. We make sure to take it away after he empties it.Otherwise, it would never have lasted this long.

Even before his mouth was strong enough to squeeze the fat octopus's head he enjoyed shaking it around so that the legs would hit him in the face & smack the floor (you know, the way dogs love to shake stuff)! He has tons of squeaky toys, but this is always the one he chooses when someone comes outside to play. It's just great to see him so filled with glee when he bounds around with it in his mouth, or successfully gets it to groan and squeak at the same time, and the rattle makes noise even with the gentlest touch. This toy is probably a dog's dream stuffed toy come true!

We've had this toy for about 2 months now and everything is still in tact despite rigorous use & tug of war. Even the hair on "Mr. Octopus's" head isn't budging. Best dog toy ever!

(More customer reviews)These sticks aren't a truely horrible product, but they're definately not made for tough or frequent use.They're certainly not for chewers and can't hold up to a lot of use.I own a year old lab mix who played with this outside with me for about 30 minutes before tearing the end of it off.I didn't expect it to be hollow either, which isn't good for long-term use.I would only recomend it to someone if they own a medium sized dog such as a spaniel.

(More customer reviews)I got one of these for my 100lb 12month old bullmastiff and he gutted it within 15m.Actually, he ripped thru an ear and from there managed to possibly swallow part of the sqeaker.I got my doggie to barf up his dinner, which he had just eaten about 15m before and didn't see any of the squeaker in it, just a bit of fur from the tail.

That said, before I surrendered the poor squirrel over to his doom, i was rather impressed by it.

The search continues for a toy my dog cannot destroy (well, quickly).

(More customer reviews)This is a great toy for dogs.It is durable and my dogs keep playing with it after the food is all gone.Like one of the other reviews said, the holes are large but if you put a tennis ball in with the food is inhibits the food from going out the holes as fast.Also I have found if you put a ball with a bell inside of it instead of food it will keep your dog busy for hours.They can't get it out but boy do they try.I have three border collies and ONE of these toys and my boys are very aggressive at play.After a month this toy barely looks used and I use it every other day.Again, great toy and it is big enough to put other things in it besides food.

Premier Busy Buddy Puppy Squirrel Dude Dog Toy Review

(More customer reviews)So, I wanted a little variety in my kongs so I tried Squirrel Dude. I had read he was like Kong. It's the same theory only with a cute design.

No.

There are three really huge differences.
1. Kong is made in the USA and Squirrel Dude is made in China. I'm not some protectionist zealot as a general matter, but China has dumped enough scary crap on us in the last few years that I am trying to avoid it. Plus, people HERE need jobs. And my dog toys don't need to travel across an ocean.

2. Squirrel Dude smells like pool toys or a new shower curtain. He has that smelly plastic stench. It doesn't really bother me, but if I were supposed to be sucking, chewing and coaxing my food and entertainment out of it, it would drive me nuts.

3. My dog uses his kong and ignores Squirrel Dude. So, why buy squirrel dude?

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my 30 lb beagle/dalmatian mix as a bit of a joke; our house has had a flying squirrel infestation before.It is a HEAVY toy for a plush.The rope is much thicker and stronger than the usual rope toy, and the seams are all stitched with heavy duty thread.The toy contains two squeakers- one in the torso and one on the tail in the outer ring.My dog loves to play catch with the squirrel, and I find with the rope its very easy to grab onto as she isn't always the best about bringing things right back to you.She likes to play tug a war with this toy as well.I'm also happy to report that we had some soiling incidents where she urinated in her cage and got the toy dirty, but I've machine washed it twice and it still looks brand new.She has enjoyed this toy for over a month now and it shows no signs of wear, despite many hours of squeaking and tugging.I would recommend this toy to anyone with a dog that favors plush or rope toys.A strong chewer will still be able to rip it apart I'm sure (try the firehose toys if this is the case for your pup), but this is definitely a lot stronger than your average plush squeaker toy.

We bought the whole "Hide-a-Squirrel" stump with the squirrels for her for Christmas, and she loves them! She takes the squirrels all around the house with her. They go in her bed, in bed with her humans, and she has never destroyed them like she has every other stuffed toy with squeakers. Any other stuffed toy has become like "road-kill" in a few days, as she chews them until she gets the squeaker out and then pulls the all the stuffing out. These are like her little babies. We just had to upgrade the squirrels because she has started to wear them out from the doggy "slobber" that is always on them from carrying them in her mouth. Overall, a great, and rather affordable investment. Would recommend these to anyone with a terrier who loves to chew their toys!
