I love this frisbee for many reasons.
1. It is easy to throw. You don't have to have great aim as it tends to go in the direction you hope it will go. You don't have to be strong as it floats through the air.
2. The shape is dog-friendly. Because the edges sit off of the ground, it is easy to pick up.
3. It is rugged. Even my tough chewer working diligently on it hasn't torn it apart. (Which amazes me so much that I let her chew just to see how long it will hold out.)
4. It's cute. Come on...a flying squirrel frisbee? Some people were just having a blast while designing dog toys.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my 30 lb beagle/dalmatian mix as a bit of a joke; our house has had a flying squirrel infestation before.It is a HEAVY toy for a plush.The rope is much thicker and stronger than the usual rope toy, and the seams are all stitched with heavy duty thread.The toy contains two squeakers- one in the torso and one on the tail in the outer ring.My dog loves to play catch with the squirrel, and I find with the rope its very easy to grab onto as she isn't always the best about bringing things right back to you.She likes to play tug a war with this toy as well.I'm also happy to report that we had some soiling incidents where she urinated in her cage and got the toy dirty, but I've machine washed it twice and it still looks brand new.She has enjoyed this toy for over a month now and it shows no signs of wear, despite many hours of squeaking and tugging.I would recommend this toy to anyone with a dog that favors plush or rope toys.A strong chewer will still be able to rip it apart I'm sure (try the firehose toys if this is the case for your pup), but this is definitely a lot stronger than your average plush squeaker toy.

It's fabric soft construction has led to some amazing leaping catches by my dog. Much more fun that a regular plastic frisbee, and you don't have to worry about hurting your dog when he tries to catch it. Vibrant colours are fun to watch. It's easy to pick up and perfect for the winter. Another great product from Chuckit!

(More customer reviews)Our dog Annie is a frisbee enthusiast.She doesn't show much excitement when we pull out an old tennis ball for catch.But get out a frisbee-or even MENTION the word Frisbee - and she goes bonkers.The only problem is, she is part husky/ part lab and those front canines rip through plastic like a hot knife through butter.Yesterday she literally chewed a cheap plastic frisbee to shreds in under ten tosses.
Enter the CHUCKIT! - this thing will last through thousands of throws without ripping or fraying.The shape and action it displays during flight must drive Annie nuts because she pursues it like a starved wolf.And you can really get it out there far - which is a plus for us, because Annie is quite speedy and can cover a lot of ground in the blink of an eye.The best part is the finish, when the chuckit hovers several feet of the ground as it slows and drops.At this point Annie uses her incredible closing speed to leap into the air and snag the Squirrel - which comes easy due to its soft, flexible body.
Today I am ordering our second one in as many years, only because we always left ours outside and the sun deteriorated it.One helpful hint: make sure to throw it by the head.It will fly much more acurately than if thrown by a leg.
