(More customer reviews)My company had a huge problem with pigeons roosting in our warehouse.We decided to buy a different owl at first, a statue that didn't move.But after 3 days, the pigeons had figured out it wasn't real.

This electronic owl's movement and hooting really did the trick.I would say it is quite loud if you wanted to use it at a house or apartments.Also, the sensors are really too sensitive.We eventually turned off the hooting because it was too annoying, and it didn't seem to make a difference to the pigeons--they still stayed out.

Designed to look exactly like a great horned owl, the Electronic Owl features large, yellow eyes, a tilted head, ear tufts, and intricate hand-painted details on the body. When the Electronic Owl senses movement, its head turns toward the motion and the Owl hoots, adding to the realistic effect.
Activated by Motion Sensors
The Electronic Owl is activated by four motion sensors that detect nearby pests or movement. The head turns in the direction of the motion and hoots, scaring away the pests. The head then moves back to the neutral position. Three AA batteries are required for operation.

(More customer reviews)We live in New Hampshire and cannot have most bird feeders in the summer because they will be destroyed by the black bears.This is the first bird feeder that we can hang high in a tree and not have it emptied by the local red and gray squirrels.Before we got this we tried the usual approaches:

Red pepper - Spraying the feeder with an oil and pepper mix didn't work.
Cage-type feeders - This works for gray squirrels, but any cage with a small enough mesh to keep out red squirrels will also block the birds.
Baffles - A regular feeder needs to be 8 feet from any branch or the squirrels will jump to it.This is impossible to arrange in most trees.

This Squirrel Scatter feeder is a very simple solution.We have it hanging on a branch outside our second-story window.It only takes one or two experiences with the shock from this feeder and even the most determined squirrel will leave it alone.Every now and then a squirrel will stop back and very carefully attempt to eat from the feeding ports.The mild shock immediately sends him scrambling away.The construction quality also seems quite good.Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)I bought 2 of these owlsto keep the hawks away from my baby chicks.My husband put them on tall poles and placed them in my backyard close to the chicken coop (facing the woods where the hawks usually fly out of)I think they are working because I have seen the hawks, but nowhere close to the chicks.Also, the owls' heads spin when there is a little wind.The hawks must think they are real!

Agri Zap RZU001 Rat Zapper Ultra Review

(More customer reviews)My family moved into our current house five years ago, and our first autumn here we discovered that our house was a quite popular Fall Resort in the mouse world. :(

In those five years, we've tried a large number of ways to stop this yearly invasion:

- Traditional Traps
They simply didn't work. Either the mouse could eat the bait without triggering the trap, or it would catch the mouse without killing it - which was pretty disgusting. I did find one type of traditional trap that worked, but then it was discontinued.

- Glue Traps
These were basically worthless. Mice would drag them to a new location, but then free themselves without too much trouble.

- Poison
This was a fun solution - I would go into my basement (where I work) and smell a week-dead mouse that I couldn't find.

- "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"
One year I simply didn't bother to try to catch them; I was too exhausted from previous attempts. I figured as long as they stayed hidden, I would ignore their existence. This option didn't go over too well with the wife.

After all this frustration, I figured I would try the Rat Zapper. All I can say is: IT WORKS! I caught 6 mice in the first 48 hours I had it set up, and disposing of the mice and resetting the trap was clean and easy. Best of all, I can use this trap for years to come; it no longer has to be a yearly experiment to see how I can catch our rodent visitors.

Clear Plastic Squirrel Baffle Review

(More customer reviews)I use it on a 1" pole and at a height level that is right underneath my hanging bird feeder, while at the same time about 5' from the ground. It works wonder, the baffle (skirt) wobbles as rodents try to dislodge it from beneath (& inside) and there's no way they can defeat this - unless of course they chew off the ring support, which is exactly what mine are doing day & night now. They teeth are too strong for the acrylic but Woodlink assures me that if they chew it through, a replacement piece will be mailed to me. Since that I wouldn't accept anything in black or green, this modern acrylic clear baffle is perfect. And once again, it works very well.

(More customer reviews)This does not fit a 1" pole!Beware!Its center hole has a diameter of 7/8" [clearly printed on box], and so obviously can't fit a pole larger in diameter than that!It will not fit a Wild Birds Unlimited 1" pole [as I found out the hard way].Obviously, Droll Yankees want to limit their customers to using their [less sturdy/stable] pole only - a pity. This product is going back.
