(More customer reviews)I bought one of these heaters even after reading the negative reviews about the fuse blowing and I am glad I did.If you plug the unit into an Aux Power port that is rated to 20 amps, and not a regular cigarette lighter port it works great and does not blow the fuse.I bought this unit because the heat in my vehicle is out and this was a much cheaper alternative to paying a lot of money to fix something in a car I will not keep much longer.

Over the past few weeks I have had this heater, I have seen temps drop to -14 and this unit made my commute not only bearable but actually comfortable after about 8 minutes.There have been times when the outside temp was in the twenties that I have had to turn the unit off after 10 minutes or so because I was getting hot.

This unit does have a couple of disappointments however, there is not a variable speed fan or settings for heat, so you have to turn it off instead of being able to just turn it down, and the heat does not come out across the entire face of the unit just the left third or so.

I would give this heater a 3 1/2 but since there are not half stars I gave it a four.If you have a 20 amp power port in your car and need heat or just want a little extra heat before your car warms up this unit is great.Do not try to use a regular cigarette lighter plug though, it seems that is what those who had all of the problems were doing.

Motomco Tomcat Rat Snap Trap 33525 Review

I don't have to worry about smashing my fingers by accident while trying to get it into position; to set this one you just step on the back of it (or you can squeeze it with your hand). I don't set it off by accident as I'm trying to maneuver it into position; this one isn't on a hair trigger like the old fashion kind. Meerly jostling it won't set it off. The rat can only approach from the desired side so there is no chance of him being tossed away from the trap as can happen with the old fashion kind. Best of all, there is virtually NO WAY for a rat to get to the bait without setting this thing off - every time! That's because the bait is positioned such that he must press the lever to get to it. It's also positioned such that they never get "kinda" caught. Lastly, those "teeth" pretty much insure that he's not going anywhere.

With the regular trap I had more sprung traps that caught rats. With this trap I got one within the 1st hour of setting it out, over and over and over again! It works!

The vent duct we installed is vertical,goes via kitchen cabinet, attic and roof (We got the hood at Lowes, but vent duct, roof cap, flash were from Homedepot). The instruction is clear,easily to follow.I and my wife are very happy. All odors after cooking now are gone.
Pros: This is a great product. Looks very sleek with 4 fan speeds: three first speed (up to 300cfm) was quiet, the Boost speed - 430cfm is a bit noisy, but that is ok. The halogen light range (3 levels) is great.

The cons are: The inner case is not sealed well so not 100% air escapes outside. We put a a duct tape in the top to prevent air get back to the kitchen. Some air still gets back via two holes in the left and right edges.

Benriner Japanese Mandoline Slicer Review

(More customer reviews)This is an excellent slicer.I've used everything in it from carrots (when making my carrot version of thai papaya salad) julienned into matchstick thickness to wide thin slices of Korean radish.Never failed me.

Two drawbacks though:

1.The safety guard is a joke.It doesn't hold the veggies very well and is a pain to use effectively...which means I usually don't use it.I've cut my fingers on this mandolin twice now, which isn't bad for two years of regular useage, but I don't like the sight of blood so I'll leave it as a major detractor.Luckily for me, I cut myself on the julienne part and not the actual wide slicer.In other words, my finger meat was left shredded but intact.Whew!

2.The metal parts rust.Yep.They rust.Hence the reason I am now shopping around for another slicer.Don't know yet if I'll get another Benriner.Might look into the Bohn.

***Update***
Apparently Benriner realized the metal parts rusted because their mandolins now come with plastic screws to hold the julienne blades in place and to adjust the thickness level.

(More customer reviews)When we moved, my poor cat went crazy and wouldn't be handled, touched, approached, or even looked at.We knew she'd calm down once all the commotion was over, so our friend lent us one of these traps for her.

One day in an empty house later(save, of course, the trap baited with her very favourite food), we had a VERY unhappy cat in a very sturdy trap.

My only complaints are:

*the carrying handle is too short or the "guard" is too small.She was able to take swipes at me until I covered the trap with a blanket and carried it using a glove.

*the release mechanism is also too uncomfortably close to the unhappy trap-ee.Leather gloves solved this once again.

Otherwise, it worked perfectly!

(By the way, my cat calmed down after about two days and is sitting next to me now, purring)

the device itself does nothing!!! It pulsates through the wires which annoys the heck out of the rodents - so even if they come into your house, they won't stay, build nests, multiply,..... They will leave!!
Plugging it into an extention cord outside shows that the reviewer has NO understanding of HOW it works.

PS: the red light is only an indicator that it's working - it's not the repellent!!!

This is the best bird feeder I've ever seen. I placed mine 4 feet away from anything the squirrels could leap down to it from (they can't climb up it or tip it over), and it really works. It's covered with so many fat doves that my husband calls it the dove feeder, and we have to fill it every week. The squirrels wait under it for the crumbs the birds leave when flying away-- that's all they get. BTW: I did not end up getting it from a marketplace seller, as the promised delivery date instead brought only unanswered emails. They did not charge me for it, but I had to scramble to find a last minute gift to replace one that had supposedly been in stock and available for holiday delivery, and that was not a last minute order. Still, this feeder is widely available, even at Sears, and worth every cent you will pay for it. Get a big big bag of birdseed!

(More customer reviews)I have purchased this 465 CFM blower fan from Hydrofarm, but the paint was flaking off and the metal was rusty after I received it in the mail. I contacted the seller, and they said Hydrofarm was going to send me a return label, but I never got it. I contacted the seller again, but no response.

Also, the motor runs very hot. I cannot leave my finger on the motor body very long before it would burn my finger. It isn't smoking hot yet, but I don't feel comfortable leaving it on if I'm not home.

I'm going to return the product to Amazon if I don't hear from the seller or manufacturer shortly.

I gave this to my wife for Christmas.We have had it installed for two days and haven't seen any birds.But, there are not many birds around here in winter.We have no reason to expect there won't be numerous birds once warm weather gets here.

The plastic viewing surface is a "one-way" mirror.During daylight, if you look into it from the outside, you see what appears to be a perfectly mirrored surface.You cannot see anything inside the house, even with the room lights turned on.The plastic is not crystal clear, so when looking out from inside the room, the colors are slightly muted.We don't expect that to decrease our enjoyment of the product.As seen from the outside, the mirror acts like a magnifying cosmetic mirror.Any bird on the food dish will see its own reflection magnified in the vertical dimension.We think that might scare the birds at first, but we think they will get used to it.

During night, the situation is reversed.If the room lights are on, you can see into the room from the outside.We drape a towel over it at night.The towel serves a second purpose.The plastic is not a good insulator and becomes a source of a cold air draft.The towel helps mitigate that.

The unit opens up for access from inside the house. That's great, as we can bring the food tray inside at night so we don't feed any nocturnal creatures.

Installation was a little complicated as our window sill was too wide to open the unit enough for access from inside.This was solved with a two by six board placed between the sill and the bottom of the bird feeder.The board had to be notched in the corners to make it fit well.There is a plastic panel for each side of the bird feeder.These have to be cut to the correct size to fill in the space between the bird feeder and the sides of the window.Measure carefully; if you cut it too small you will be out of luck.The unit needs about 15 inches of clearance from the window pane to open fully.We had to move furniture to accommodate that, which was far more work than installing the bird feeder into the window. A hacksaw and utility knife were needed for installation.The unit is of light but adequate construction; I was worried while handling it that I might damage it.Once installed in the window, it seems sturdy enough.The viewing surface was protected with a plastic film on both sides.

The only thing missing was a bracket to screw into the side of the window to prevent it from being opened.

Update: We have had cardinals feeding.They were completely unaware of our presence.

Second update.This morning there was a knocking sound coming from the bird feeder.
It was a female cardinal fighting with her reflection.

Third update: the cardinal spent the entire day fighting with her reflection.And started up again this morning; I had intended to sleep late.Later a squirrel got into it.I gave him a near heart attack my thumping the feeder.He was back in 15 minutes.

Forth update: At night we put some paper in it to obscure the mirrored surface so that we don't wake up to the thump thump thump sound of a bird fighting with its reflection.

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these feeders for myself about 5 years ago, and it is the best squirrel-proof feeder that I have found. Exceptionally talented squirrels can jump horizontally into the narrow space between the roof and tray, but only if it is quite close to a tree or wall. Most squirrels crash a few times and then make due cleaning up what the birds dump on the ground. They can't access it by coming down the chain from above. The feeder also holds so much seed (about 6-7 lbs.) that you don't need to refill it often. I love this feeder and recently purchased a second one as a gift. You'll make up the cost in saved seed within a few months.
