(More customer reviews)Sometimes, the more expensive devices aren't always better.This is nothing different.Over the summer months I get a problem with 'earwig' beetles, that seem to take over the house.I didn't feel like crumbling some rock around the windows and vents in my bedroom, as I've heard that that is the best rememdy for earwigs, so I thought I'd try this.Unfortunately, I found many earwigs throughout the bedroom, where I plugged in this device.Not only that, but we also get spiders and other insects still.We also seemed to have found spiders and earwigs more often as well.I haven't been too pleased about this, so I probably won't get a new unit, and may think about trying out that rock-dust method next year...In conclusion, I didn't find this unit useful for my needs, and anyone interested in using electronic pest technologies may want to do some hard-core research before actually purchasing this unit or any similar units.

(More customer reviews)Bought a Prowler Owl last year to protect a house which had about a hundred woodpecker holes in the siding.Siding was patched and painted, and we installed a Prowler Owl on a 7 foot piece of 1/2" galvanized electrical tubing, braced with guy wire to the house for stability.

A year later, not one hole, no signs of woodpeckers, and the owl is in perfect condition after going through a cold, icy and snowy winter.

Bottom line - it works fine. I'll raise the rating to 5 stars after we have passed another year of success.

(More customer reviews)We live in an apartment on the East China Sea in Japan - barely a 1/2 mile from the water's edge and the pigoens love our balcony! This tape is wrapped to hang along our balcony and shines reflectively against the sun and makes noise against the wind. Works great! We've tried a fake bat, owl, snakes, even WD-40 on the balcony - you name it! Our neighbors have spikes and the birds just perch on the spikes. Our balcony has been pigeon and poop free for a year now. We have had to replace it after the "winter" and typhoon season beacuse the reflectiveness wears off in wind and rain after a while - but little problem and work for us to keep these nasty birds away!
